Sometimes you can’t find the beads you want, so why not make some of your own? These were made with fimo which I find can be a bit tricky as it tends to leave finger prints on your work – crafty tip, use latex gloves! The pictures were made by pressing stamps into the fimo before heating in the oven.

Up until recently my necklaces were kept in a basket and were prone to getting tangled up. I experimented with a few different ways of keeping my beads tidy so I can actually see what I have! This one below is pretty easy to do, all you need is some ribbon and a couple of drawing pins. I was surprised how much could hold without it falling!
Here are some of the necklaces I’ve made in the last few days with the beads I bought in London. Bead works in Covent garden is the best bead store I’ve ever come across. They have everything, wooden beads, crystal, glass and porcelain. I have real trouble finding good bead stores in Melbourne and often find shopping on line the easiest way to get unusual supplies, but it’s not the same as holding them in your hand. So If anyone knows of a store in Melbourne that has a wide selection of beads let me know!
